JOHANNESBURG – Eskom’s entry into the competitive electricity market is now underway, after it met all requirements to form a merger with the National Transmission Company of South Africa.
The NTCSA will now be a separate subsidiary of Eskom Holdings, according to the Companies Act. 
This means Eskom will be legally separated into Generation, Distribution, and Transmission units, with aims of improving electricity supply.
Eskom chairperson Mteto Nyati discussed this with eNCA.
